1. Fine Adjustment of Heavy XY Coordinate Tables

With its screw-driven mechanism, the S_Head_Smart allows for extremely precise positioning along the X and Y axes, even when used with large and heavy coordinate tables.

• • 0.1 µm resolution for fine adjustment
• • IP65 protection rating – ideal for use in harsh industrial environments

2. Use as an XL Digital Micrometer

a) With a custom frame from a third-party manufacturer

The S_Head_Smart can already be used as a large-capacity digital micrometer by combining it with a gooseneck frame manufactured by a third party.

b) Complete Sylvac solution – available from September 2025

Starting in September 2025, Sylvac will offer a complete ready-to-use solution including:

• • The S_Head_Smart micrometer head
• • A pre-assembled gooseneck frame ranging from 100 mm to 1000 mm (in 100 mm increments)
• • Two certified gauges
• • A calibration certificate

This kit provides:

• • Higher accuracy than wide-range calipers (UL)
• • A more affordable alternative to 3D measuring systems
• • Ideal for measuring large parts in industries such as aerospace, automotive, energy, and more
